How long should a blog post be is one of those funny questions? We ask this question often because the answer changes every year.
The truth is that if you simply write strong content for your niche, you’ll be rewarded.
However, there is confusion because we see so many successful bloggers publishing 200-word blog posts filled with pictures as well as successful bloggers with 3,000-word blog posts without pictures.

In an article about the study, the social media platform, Buffer, claimed that seven minutes equals about 1,600 words; however, a post with a large number of photos could reduce the total word count to 1,000.
Granted, much of this research is several years old at this time. However, it seems that blog posts that exceed the 1,000-word mark are still the standard you want to aspire to, even a few years later.
A more recent survey by Snap Agency found that 51% of respondents wanted to read content that was between 700 and 1,500 words. In contrast, only 27% of respondents answered that blog posts of 300 to 700 words were preferable.

There are numerous studies and statistics that point to the fact that 1,500-words may be the best length for your standard articles. However, it is also advisable to add a bit of content even longer.
A company named CoSchedule took a look at its own high-performance blog posts and discovered that each of its posts on the first page of Google actually had more than 2,000 words, which shows that investing work to create even more extensive content could be a smart decision for your own strategy.
