Granted, much of this research is several years old at this time. However, it seems that blog posts that exceed the 1,000-word mark are still the standard you want to aspire to, even a few years later.
A more recent survey by Snap Agency found that 51% of respondents wanted to read content that was between 700 and 1,500 words. In contrast, only 27% of respondents answered that blog posts of 300 to 700 words were preferable.
There are numerous studies and statistics that point to the fact that 1,500-word blog posts are the best for your trusted standard articles. However, it is also advisable to add a bit of content even longer.
CoSchedule took a look at its own high-performance blog posts and discovered that each of its post on the first page of Google actually had more than 2,000 words, which shows that investing work to create even more extensive content could be a smart decision for your own strategy.

Obviously, there are many other elements at play than constantly writing 1,500-word blog posts every time. We’ve seen many successful bloggers mix things up and publish smaller blog posts. But, when you compete against complicated algorithms and crowded search results in order for your content to be seen out there, finding a winning formula for the length of the publication cannot hurt you.
